Grilled Steak with Browned Butter

Ingredients (Serves 4):

Steak (4 of your choice: Ribeye, Strip, Porterhouse, Sirloin, etc.)

Butter – 1/2 cup, unsalted

Garlic – 6-8 cloves, smashed

Fresh herbs – 2 sprigs (rosemary or thyme)

Salt & Pepper – to taste

Cracked black pepper – 1/2 to 1 tsp

Cooking oil – 2 tbsp (canola oil suggested)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Steaks: Remove steaks from the refrigerator for 15-30 mins to reach room temperature. Pat dry and season with salt and pepper.

2. Make the Browned Butter:

In a skillet or pot over medium-high heat, melt the butter until it foams, turns golden brown, and releases a nutty aroma.

Add garlic, herbs, salt, and pepper, swirling to infuse flavors. Set aside.

3. Grill the Steaks:

Preheat grill to 450°F (230°C). Lightly grease grill plates with oil.

Grill each steak for 4-5 minutes per side (adjust for desired doneness). Use tongs to flip steaks to avoid losing juices.

Once off the grill, drizzle browned butter over steaks and let rest for 5 minutes.

4. Serve: Slice and serve with more browned butter on top!

Tips:

Use a heavy-bottomed skillet for the butter to prevent burning.

Let steaks rest after cooking to retain juices.

Serving Suggestions: Pair with garlic mashed potatoes, sauteed green beans, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.

Enjoy a steakhouse-quality experience right at home!
