Pumpkin Bread
A classic fall treat that’s easy to make.
Ingredients:
1 cup pumpkin puree
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
1/4 cup pumpkin seeds (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
Combine wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
Add dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves.
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just mixed.
*Fold in mix-ins: If desired, carefully fold in the chopped pecans or walnuts along with the pumpkin seeds.
*Pour into pan: Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan.
*Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
*Cool: Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before moving it to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy your freshly made pumpkin bread!
